WHY BOOK A SECOND SHOOTER?

bridal prep shropshire wedding photographer, shrewsbury wedding photographer, why have a second shooter at your wedding

We offer a unique setup as a team of photographers who have worked together on most of our weddings. Over time, we've perfected our roles, giving our couples the benefit of a seamless duo that consistently delivers exceptional results. Unlike booking a photographer who hires a second shooter, with us, you know exactly who you'll be working with—Meg and Colin!

So, who should consider a second shooter?

Larger Weddings

With more guests, comes more candids. To ensure you have a large section of your album filled with natural candids of your nearest and deares, a second shooter may be needed to capture your guests, while a primary photographer is capturing your group shots, couples shoot, etc.

Groom prep / Bride prep / Guests arriving

It's all at once, and possibly in three different locations! When there are two of us shooting, you both have a photographer for the morning. Typically, Colin will photograph groom prep and then follow the groom to the ceremony, where he can photograph a very exciting part of your day; your guests arriving!

Meanwhile, Meg typically stays with the bride, and with a second shooter, can stay until the last minute, knowing Colin is already at the ceremony.

Ceremony Restrictions

Typically with a church wedding, we are not allowed to move around and we can only take photos during hymns. With a photographer at the front of the church, and the back, Colin is up front, and Meg is at the back; providing you with two views of your ceremony, than one of us, restricted to the same spot.

Registrars tend to be a little more relaxed, as long as the venue is large enough allow us to move around discreetly.

"Her and Colin made us feel so comfortable for our couples shoot and the lighting was just perfect.  Lots of our guests commented on how lovely and discreet they were and couldn’t wait to see the photos.
So glad you were both there to capture our special day with us, it was a pleasure having you there."

Rebecca & Jack

"Megan’s like a little ray of sunshine, polite, always smiling, always on hand there at the right times, but also blending in taking the most beautiful natural shots!"

Jessica & Kelvin

"She was an excellent communicator, kind, professional and ensured the wedding day was captured perfectly. I also congratulate her as I do not like having my picture taken but I really enjoyed the photo shoots at the venue as she was able to make me feel relaxed and comfortable."

"Megan and Colin's work was fantastic; they were professional, relaxed, and fun! Their style, a standout feature, aligned with our preference for a natural look. Their ability to blend into the background and capture candid moments was reflected in the final photos."
